In March of this year, I showcased my work Beneath the Veil at the Where We’re Calling From exhibition held at Copeland Gallery. It was an especially engaging experience in curating the display, as we aimed to foster a more creative interaction among the artworks. The exhibition featured works from peers across different MA disciplines, and we experimented with diverse placement strategies to enhance visual dialogue. Some pieces were positioned on the floor, others interspersed in the middle of walls, or placed at the very top or bottom. This unconventional approach to gallery display resonated with the theme of Where We’re Calling From, emphasizing the idea of individuals occupying a shared space while embodying distinct identities.
